By Lesley Fisher Lake Forest High School graduating seniors Dylan Cran and Campbell Gore were named the inaugural recipients of the Lake Forest High School Alumni Legacy Scholarship during the Scholarships and Awards Program on May 28.

Dylan Cran is the son of Greg Cran ’92 and brother of Aidan ’21 and Lily ’23. Campbell Gore is the daughter of Shawn Valassis Gore ’94 and niece of Adrienne (Valassis) Stratman ’97, Lauren Valassis Hirsh ’99, and Doug Valassis ’03.

Both awardees will receive $1,000 to support tuition, continuing education, future vocational pursuits, or other approved enrichment experiences.

As part of the application process, students submitted written statements describing how they built meaningful connections with classmates throughout high school and how they plan to continue fostering those relationships beyond graduation.

Dylan and Campbell will also serve as Class Contacts for the Class of 2026, helping share alumni events, opportunities, and communications with their classmates in the years ahead. This role supports the LFHS Alumni Association's mission of connecting classmates to each other and to current LFHS students.

The Lake Forest High School Alumni Association is proud to support our graduates as they move beyond LFHS. It is also hosting an LFHS All-Alumni Reunion in the Gorton Center parking lot on July 18 from 6:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m. There will be food and beverages along with live music.
