Get your smiles ready – the sixth annual #CityHallSelfie Day is Friday, Aug. 13.
#CityHallSelfie Day is a worldwide event that invites you to share your pictures in front of city halls and other government buildings. Participants take a self-portrait (selfie) in front of a city hall and share it using the hashtag #CityHallSelfie.

Said Communications Manager Dana Olson, “Each year, the group Engaging Local Government Leaders recognizes #CityHallSelfie award winners in multiple categories. We’re hoping to earn some bragging rights for Lake Forest.”
How to Participate:
1. Take a picture of yourself or a group in front of Lake Forest City Hall (220 E. Deerpath) or another city building, such as the Recreation Center, Public Safety Building or Municipal Services Building. While the official #CityHallSelfie Day is Friday, Aug. 13, you can take pictures in advance to share on that day.
2. Post the picture on social media with the hashtag #CityHallSelfie.
3. Tag @CityofLakeForestIL on Facebook and Instagram.
