Share Your Photos During #CityHallSelfie Day

Get your smiles ready – the sixth annual #CityHallSelfie Day is Friday, Aug. 13.

#CityHallSelfie Day is a worldwide event that invites you to share your pictures in front of city halls and other government buildings. Participants take a self-portrait (selfie) in front of a city hall and share it using the hashtag #CityHallSelfie.

Members of the Lake Forest Fire Department take a selfie in front of City Hall to post during #CityHallSelfie Day on Friday, Aug. 13.

Said Communications Manager Dana Olson, “Each year, the group Engaging Local Government Leaders recognizes #CityHallSelfie award winners in multiple categories. We’re hoping to earn some bragging rights for Lake Forest.”

How to Participate:

1. Take a picture of yourself or a group in front of Lake Forest City Hall (220 E. Deerpath) or another city building, such as the Recreation Center, Public Safety Building or Municipal Services Building. While the official #CityHallSelfie Day is Friday, Aug. 13, you can take pictures in advance to share on that day.

2. Post the picture on social media with the hashtag #CityHallSelfie.

3. Tag @CityofLakeForestIL on Facebook and Instagram.

You can also email pictures to cityhall@cityoflakeforest.com for a chance to be featured on the city’s social media pages.
