Chili Showdown: Lake Forest Police vs. Lake Forest Fire
By Kristin Elliott
Who makes the best chili in Lake Forest? Find out on Saturday, Nov. 7, when the Lake Forest Club hosts its inaugural Police vs. Fire Chili Competition from noon to 2 p.m.
This friendly competition brings our Lake Forest Police and Fire Departments together for rivalry, community spirit, and, of course, delicious chili. The department with the winning recipe will earn bragging rights, take the inaugural trophy back to the station, and be featured on the Lake Forest Club’s menu for the remainder of November.
And the best part is there’s more to enjoy than chili. Meet our police officers and firefighters, get an up-close look at police vehicles, fire trucks, and equipment, and see a police drone demonstration. Comfort Dog Winston will be there, and Police Officer Molinelli and her new K9 partner Buzz will make their first public appearance together for a special demonstration.
Open to the public, this family-friendly event is a great opportunity to cheer on your favorite team, meet our local heroes, and help decide who serves up the best chili in Lake Forest.
The Lake Forest Club is located at 554 N. Westmoreland Road in Lake Forest. For more information, contact Steven Mendes, Member Relations Manager, at smendes@lakeforestclub.com.
