By Thais O'Malley Dozens of veterans and many other Lake Foresters gathered to commemorate the official opening of Veterans Park at Deerpath and Green Bay Road on Sunday, Sept. 24. During the gorgeous fall afternoon, a statue was unveiled to honor all the veterans who have served since World War. The ceremony closed with a military salute to fallen soldiers.
